Bottle Drive:

We are planning a bottle drive to raise money to go to convention. (The latest news is that it has been pushed back until August 2009 giving us more time to fund raise!) We are planning on going out right after Canada day. More information will follow.

* Email us at uottawa.ndp@gmail.com to donate your bottles and cans! We’ll take them off your hands and get some money to subsidize the cost of your trip to the convention.

Do you think Rape is acceptable??

The U of O Engineering faculty seems to…

Please read page 11 of Oral Otis (the U of O Engineering paper) which says, "just keep thrusting harder and harder and don't let her get away…remember, you two aren't finished till you say you are."

This is not the first time this newspaper has written degrading comments about women so it is time to show them we want it to STOP!

Luckily this copy of the Oral Otis is not available any longer and all their stands have been taken away but we still need to send a strong message.

THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PRINTED IN THE FIRST PLACE!
RAPE IS NOT A JOKE!

What can you do??

We want to start an email campaign to inundate their office
Email: engineering@uottawa.ca
Email the writers at: askthekeepers@gmail.com

And finally write a letter (NOT AN EMAIL) to the Dean of Engineering, they can be printed here and perhaps a group of us can deliver them by hand.

Demand an apology, tell them how you feel, ask for the paper to be shut down,
DO SOMETHING!
